The Large Format Printer is used as a place to print archival works of art. If you are looking to print out a poster or other project, please visit posters.davidson.edu.
As of fall 2021, the Art Department can absorb supply and maintenance for the printer for students currently enrolled in art classes. To keep this resource free, please limit printing to a reasonable amount and ALWAYS create test strips to check for accurate color. To print, you must make an appointment to work with our lab monitor Miguel Donado.
If you are looking to make an unusual amount of prints, please apply for a grant. See Maryland Institute College of Art’s print lab’s list of prices to make a budget for your grant. See grants through Davidson Arts and Creative Engagement (DACE), the Center for Civic Engagement, Dean Rusk International Studies Program, and Undergraduate Research. Not only will these grants build your résumé, but they demonstrate your abilities to generate innovative ideas, articulate that vision to others, and see creative work through to completion.
Please note that our printer is an Epson SureColor P9000 Standard Edition 44″ Large-Format Inkjet Printer; therefore, the shortest side of your prints can be no longer than 44 inches.
To use the printer, please schedule a time on the machine, please review lab hours and email Miguel Donado to schedule a time to print.
